Avatour is a remote-first company; the majority of our roles can be accomplished anywhere in the world, time zone permitting. This role is expected to work EU business hours, with extended hours as required.
We are looking for an Account Executive to expand the Avatour business in the European Union. You’ll be initially our only salesperson in the EU, and directly responsible for the expansion and preservation of our customer base in the region.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of success selling an Enterprise SaaS product, and experience in customer success as well. Avatour employs a "land and expand" strategy, where closing a sale with a given customer is usually only the beginning. The goal for each engagement is to build long-term profitable relationships based on trust and mutual satisfaction.
This role reports directly to the CEO, and it's an ideal opportunity for a mid-career professional to gain increasing responsibilities with a rapidly growing company.
Candidate may be based anywhere within the EU, but France or Germany is strongly preferred.
Managing the entire sales cycle, including post-sale account management and upsell/cross-sell
Prospecting for new sales opportunities
Regular engagement with existing clients
Negotiating agreements with Procurement and Legal departments
At least 3 years prior sales experience for an Enterprise SaaS company. If you haven't sold Enterprise SaaS before please do NOT apply.
Excellent communication skills in English and either French and German (verbal and written). If you're not fluent in either German or French, please do NOT apply.
Good negotiation skills and overall business acumen
Ability to work as a contractor rather than an employee
"Startup compatibility" - must be comfortable wearing many hats and doing work that would otherwise be handled by others in larger orgs
